Fast Blast for Spray Gun Cleanup Gets Painters Back to Work Quickly, Provides VOC Compliance in All 50 States

ST. PAUL, MN (October 30, 2018) – One of the most time-consuming elements of the auto painting process is the cleanup. Now, 3M is adding to its system of paint application products that take the “pain out of painting” – a new spray gun cleaner that meets VOC compliance requirements in all 50 states, including California’s stringent regulations.

New 3M™ High Power Spray Gun Cleaner delivers cleaner in an aerosol can to blast excess paint and primer off spray gun surfaces - inside and out. It is specifically formulated to be used for both solvent-base and waterborne paints and coatings. The aerosol cleaner is VOC compliant and complies with SCAQMD 1171.1(c)(1) – less than 25 g/L of VOC content, as well as California’s SDAPCD Rule 67.20.1(d)(4)(1). The Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAP) content is 0 percent.

The new position was filled in early October to strengthen DEI’s digital / social media / e-commerce team with a more strategic approach to customer engagement, branding, and sales.

Pokines will be responsible for developing social media campaigns supported by analytics across multiple platforms to enhance DEI’s complete line of heat control and sound insulation products – DEI, Boom Mat, CryO2 and Radiator Relief. Additionally, he will work with the company’s web manager, marketing, and graphics team to develop a social media strategy to integrate and improve content development and engagement for multiple markets including: automotive aftermarket, 12 volt/Car Audio, powersports, marine, and commercial/industrial channels for print and digital.
