It can be applied either mechanically, or with DEI’s Hi-Temp Spray Adhesive. The product is extremely pliable, easy to trim and conforms to almost any shape. DEI first introduced its successful Reflect-A-GOLD™ as a lightweight, low-clearance material to protect sensitive components from extreme heat swings from hot to cold. Heat Shroud GOLD is a metalized polyamide polymer laminated to a 20 oz. heat treated glass cloth material, capable of handling continual temperatures up to 850°F. In addition to its heat reflecting properties, Heat Shroud GOLD also provides additional protection against oil, dirt and road grime, and resistant to UV degradation. Is Ceramic Coating Worth It?

For any car or boat owner, keeping a car's paint or boats fiberglass and gel coat pristine is always a challenge. The go-to solution has always been the tried and tested application of wax from day one of purchase. Periodic applications (sometimes frequent reapplication) of the same is needed to maintain the wax coat, as it is slowly removed via exposure to the elements.

Times are changing, however, and so has finishing and refinishing technology. Automotive paint nowadays is a bit different and boats have gel coat and painted surfaces. On cars, instead of piling layer upon layer of color pigment to produce a deep shine, a somewhat 'sacrificial' clear topcoat is now applied to give the paint luster. Wax, of course, is still the go-to, as is its frequent reapplication.

Plymouth, Mich. — The Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center announced today plans to unveil their newly engineered lightweight aftermarket frames at the 2017 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nev., Oct. 31-Nov. 3. Show attendees will be the first to see models of the lightweight alternative for replacing frames on nearly any specialty vehicle. Although not yet in production, this forward-looking engineering could give specialty car owners access to an affordable, stiffer and safer car frame option in the future.

The Center, a representative of the MEP National Network, collaborated with Lightweight Innovations for Tomorrow, The Institute for Advanced Composites Manufacturing Innovation and the University of Tennessee, Center for Industrial Services Institute for Public Service to create the frame. Although multiple lightweight materials are integrated into the frame’s design, the engineering and design team was able to keep the cost comparable to current production steel frames.

In the spring of 2016 DW released the DWR1000 adjustable fuel pressure regulator, combining the best aspects of existing regulators on the market and adding improvements in materials and design to culminate in the best all-around regulator on the market today. The DWR1000, which supports up to 1000 HP builds, has been a huge success and proven to be popular in multiple automotive segments, but there is one bit of feedback that could not be ignored. Consumers wanted it to support even more power. So the DWR2000 was born.

The DWR2000, just like the DWR1000, is designed from the ground up with e85 in mind and is constructed with 100% e85 compatible materials such as stainless steel, anodized aluminum, and nitrile, unlike many popular regulators on the market today that contain brass internals, which can corrode and weaken when used with e85.
